The Gory Animated Movie Ending That Stays With Fans

Among all the adult-oriented animated films I have personally viewed, nothing has remained with me as much as the dread-soaked conclusion of the graphically gory and deeply subversive film from 2022 Unicorn Wars.

Back in the year 2015, this Spain-based filmmaker developed a dark, bleak , often savage universe with some tiny , forlorn glimmers of hope.

Although The Unicorn Wars feels like it came from a desire to expand animation further, the filmmaker explained that it was more an effort to express a widespread, multicultural theme about “the common origin of each battle.”

That idea is expressed through a group of brightly hued teddy bears , obviously modeled after a popular series of lovable characters.

Maturing in a culture centered on aggression and the war machine, numerous these creatures are consumed by exterminating unicorns, due to a holy book that claims the bears they previously were kings of the woods, before the unicorns forced them out.

Others have not completely accepted the brainwashing, , prefer to try out substances and mate outdoors.

In contrast to their cuddly equivalents, these bright beings display genitals and definite sex drives.

For a particular particularly cruel, pessimistic creature, the character Bluey, the battle with the unicorns turns into a path to power — and specifically to authority over his gentler, more compassionate sibling the character Tubby.

The character behaves aggressively , an apparent antisocial figure , and when terror dominates his group and kills his comrades one by one, he seizes more and more power on his own behalf, through ever more violent, destructive ways.

Meanwhile, these mythical beings are enduring their own nightmare, through an expanding, destructive monster in their woods.

“In the early stages, it appears as a lighthearted film,” the filmmaker said. “Yet it turns into a more serious and sorrowful movie. And in the finale, it becomes a scary feature.”

Unicorn Wars commences feeling a bit like one of the more playful movies from a legendary animator, that discover a naughty glee in allowing animated figures curse, shoot each other, or sex each other up.

Then it turns into more akin to a more grim film by that same director, featuring progressively graphic violence , a noticeable link to the real tragedy of conflict.

In the finale, it becomes a complete theatrical horror carnage.

The terror that makes the film an ideal spooky-season movie starts a lot earlier than one might expect.

The Unicorn Wars is suited for the devoted fans of gore, for lovers of intense movies who desire to view a film they’ve never viewed until now, and can endure a plot which delivers absolutely no punches.

Watch it with the lights off with no disturbances, and the finale will dig under your skin and linger.
