New Year Partygoers Urged to Dress Warmly with Snow Forecast Throughout the UK
Forecasters are saying a chilly beginning to the new year, with wintry precipitation anticipated throughout a lot of the UK. Revelers are being urged to wrap up as near-freezing temperatures are forecast for New Year's Eve.
Celebratory Plans Proceed In Spite of Forecasts
Edinburgh's iconic Hogmanay events are set to proceed, a contrast to last year's calling-off. This is in spite of advisories for snow in northern Scotland.

Readings Expected to Fall Further
